The Castel Sant'Angelo is often overlooked for the close by Vatican, but that doesn't make it any less of a sight to behold. It is one of those places you really only visit on the way to somewhere else. Mel and I came across it admittedly on our way to the Vatican. The pedestrian bridge across the river Tiber is gorgeous, and reminds me a lot of Charles Bridge in Prague. It leads across to the beautiful Castel, but we neglected to go inside. With only one more day left in Rome, we were prioritising. Perhaps next time though!
