"Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow’s wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all."
- Robert Frost
Some random photos from the past few weeks taken at my new 'home'. I write it like this because I don't feel comfortable calling another place home as of yet. It is very exciting though, to be living in a new place, doing things for myself. I'm enjoying the freedom.
You may have heard me mention this before (especially if you actually know me in real life, I don't shut up about it), but I am travelling to Europe this November! There is a little purple widget in the sidebar counting down the days. I am ridiculously excited about it. I'm travelling with my friend Melissa, and we will be hopping on a plane on the 24th of November, 2013. She and I have already been to Europe once before, on a school trip to Italy in 2010. Our trip will take us back there, to spend Christmas with friends, but it will also take us to a number of other amazing places.
Our trip begins in London, with day trips out to Stonehenge, Bath, Windsor Castle and Ashford (near where my Grandfather lives). Then we move on to Paris, with a day trip out to Versailles. Next is Brussels, then Amsterdam, with a day trip out to visit Mel's relatives. After that we travel on to Berlin, then Prague. Next comes Munich (Christmas markets!) and Lucerne. Then it's on to Milan (the one city in Italy we didn't get to see the first time round). Then we will be spending a week in Padova, celebrating Christmas with friends and taking day trips out to the surrounding areas (including Venice, my favourite place!). After that we visit Florence and finish our trip in Rome.
This trip is going to be the most amazing adventure, something that I will remember forever. I have been planning it almost solely myself, organising everything and that in itself is an adventure. I have already begun on a travel journal, as writing down my experiences is something I really love to do. If you have any suggestions for awesome things to do, please leave a comment!
