Film Diary, First Half 2015

A while ago, but never properly explored.

2015 is officially well under way (I've already been off visiting two different places) so I thought that I would share my favourite images from 2014. This was the year of Europe on this blog (and let's be honest: it will continue for a while yet, that place was awesome). It meant a lack of posts from recent adventures though, and I did miss that. University and life often gets in the way though, so I feel those posts would have been less regular anyway.

2014 was a big year for me. I was in Europe for the first part of it, celebrating the New Year in Florence, Italy. I can home with considerably less money, but much more happiness than I left with. I started university again: my final year of study. There were assignments, assignments and more assignments. Not to mention the lectures and seminar days. I started my placement at a wonderful school, where I worked for the whole year. I loved it there, and was so sad to leave at the end of 2014. I accepted some professional shoots: one for the lovely Caroline Adamowicz, a local actress and another for Em, to take photographs of her barn dance 21st birthday party. It was a new experience for me, shooting for a client, and one I really enjoyed doing.

There were many little trips and visits to friends and family. I took my SLR with me, and many of the photographs below were taken with it. These photographs are my favourites from last year. Most haven't been shared before but I felt they needed a little blog time to make them feel special.

2015 is going to be absolutely wonderful, I can feel it. A new job, trips overseas, more travel around Australia: there is so much to look forward to! Here's to a FANTABULOUS 2015.

Wow, this took forever to get up. Here is the last installment of my time in Swift's Creek. There are more photographs to this segment, but I am not including them as they are of some of the people I worked with. It is kind of obvious, but I don't write about any of my work here, other than how pretty the school was (and it was, so very very pretty). It's a matter of privacy. I will however share with you my lovely experience with gastro, Jack's sad farewell and time spent with family.

It has taken me a while to write this up and publish it. I feel the weight of memories pressing down on me, but find it difficult to get a good flow going what with University, work, family and friend commitments. I also will not be writing about any aspects of my work during my time there, so much of what I was feeling and experiencing has been omitted. This film diary will be in three parts, so keep an eye out for the others.
