A remarkable vintage store in a remarkable city. Though I was slightly confused for a little bit, thinking that Giulia was taking me to see some pineapples (annata and ananas sound very similar when spoken in the fierce velocity of a native Italian!), I eventually caught on. The little vintage store that Giulia took me to was filled with eccentricities of all kinds, from old Ken dolls in light up trees to fake fur coats from the '70s. It was hilarious sorting through the sheer volume of interesting things in this store. Beforehand we visited the best little bookstore, where I picked up a copy of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol translated into Italian (I had to, it was Christmastime).
