AUSTRALIA ZOO

Home of Steve Irwin and his crocodiles!

Australia Zoo was only a short drive away from where we stayed in Noosa (thank goodness we hired a car!). I was very excited to go, you don't grow up in Australia without having seen some of The Crocodile Hunter. Unfortunately for us, it was raining almost the entire time we were there. We persevered though with the help of those dorky tourist coats to cover us. It was well worth the visit. I enjoyed the crocodiles and the midday display by the keepers and Terri and Robert Irwin (Steve's wife and son). My favourite part was the otter show, those little creatures are so darn cute and clever! The second best part had to be the fabulous Bindi's Treehouse, a 3-story literal tree house filled with lemurs. Best zoo enclosure ever. It was like being in Tarzan and Jane's house.
