Padova was a very special stop for us during this trip. This is where we were to spend Christmas! We were both staying with different people, good friends who had travelled to Australia back in High School and stayed with us. Now we were returning the favour! Meet Giulia: my kind host for a week. I was lucky enough to stay and spend Christmas with her and her wonderful family. My first afternoon there Giulia took me to meet Melissa and see the Palazzo della Ragione. The gorgeous Medieval hall is rumoured to be the largest hall in Europe unsupported by columns. Inside the hall there is a giant wooden horse, an odd adornment but interesting none the less. The whole town glowed with Christmas spirit, and excitement was in the air. It was already Christmas Eve, the time had flown by so quickly!
