A weekend away with the gorgeous Chantelle and her lovely new horse, Jaz. One Friday, after work, I drove down to South Gippsland to visit my friend from University: Chantelle. She had just bought a new horse, called Jaz, the week before. We spent quite a long time playing with Jaz, lunging her and brushing her coat. I also got to meet her beautiful kitten Emerie, who is just the fluffiest and snuggliest cat you'll ever meet. I am very jealous of all the animals at Chantelle's farm. As well as Jaz and Emerie, she has Lily and Dotty, the dogs, and Shadow and Chester, her mother's horses. It is always such a treat to get to see them all.
On the Friday night we ate Chinese food from the local take away and watched a wonderful film called The Woman in Gold. If you haven't seen it, it is about Maria Altman and her quest to get back her paintings which were stolen by the Nazis during WWII. Definitely a must see. Helen Mirren and Tatiana Maslany have some amazing performances. Saturday morning, we went down to the paddocks to spend some time with the horses. In the afternoon we went and had lunch in Koonawarra, which has the cutest little collection of stores. Then it was down to Inverloch to eat brownies on the beach and dip our toes into the ocean. All in all, I had a lovely weekend. Now I feel like visiting again!
