One of the most beautiful spots in Prague (but, let's be honest: there isn't an ugly spot in Prague), Charles Bridge is at the top of most travel articles about the city. I totally agree. It is gorgeous, all cobblestones, statues and artists lining the sides. It's a pedestrian bridge, which means that it is completely okay to run from side to side like some crazed tourist trying to admire every single statue. Well, you know, okay as in you're not likely to be hit by a car doing it. You might get hit by a local. But still. One tip: get there early. It gets busy fast at the bridge, even in winter. Head there early and not only do you get some awesome light but you can do cartwheels and no one cares. It was my first stop on my first day in Prague. I headed out early so I could wander the city and experience some of what I had read so much about. Charles Bridge certainly did not disappoint.
