These gardens were stunning. The plants were all in the midst of their Winter hibernation but they had a sort of cool beauty about them that made the place seem even more special. I had my 50mm f/1.4 out the whole time, snapping away, taking advantage of the gorgeousness surrounding me. Not to mention the ducks. It was about this point in the trip where I became a lot more concerned about taking photographs of details, rather than scenes. It can be so consuming when travelling to want to try and capture every scene you come across, but sometimes focusing on the details can be just as special.
