HUKA FALLS

An impressive amount of water.

Before arriving in Taupo, I had no idea that these falls existed. Apparently we were the last to get the message because when we arrived to see them, there was an insane amount of people there. So much so, that we actually ended up leaving and coming back early the next day. I snapped a couple of photos whilst we were there though. The falls themselves aren't big, but they are LOUD. There is a phenomenal amount of water gushing through there. The falls churn the water up so much that it looks almost white. There were so many beautiful colours in the water, I can imagine that there are a lot of paintings done about this place.
