Le Cimetiere de Montmartre

It was only through following a walking trail in my guidebook that Melissa and I managed to stumble across this cemetery. Despite it being the resting place for the dead, it really was rather beautiful to wander the lane ways, crunching the Autumn leaves under our feet and watching cats jump from gravestone to gravestone. Some of which are obscenely large. Check out the photograph below the one of the yellow leaves (never getting over the colours I discovered in Paris) and see if you can spot Mel. Then you might have some idea of just how large the monuments were. 


It was certainly an interesting experience, one I would actually recommend. Seeing how different countries treat and respect their dead is fascinating. Not to mention this walk was really rather beautiful.
