My gosh, this view was so beautiful. I spent this past weekend with a couple of friends up in the city. We did some really fun things like go rollerblading in a rink and go to the drive in cinema to see that new monsters film on Saturday. We spend the Sunday roaming around the city center, eating pizza and listening to really awesome guys in book stores read picture story books about chickens. On the Monday, before Laura and I headed for home (well, my home anyway), we drove out to Arthur's seat, this really beautiful park that overlooks the peninsula. I've never really been to a place where I could see myself getting married some day, but I could see myself getting married here. It was just so pretty. Like a giant fairy garden. I've never really been all that fussed about the city, it's always been an annoying dirty place with impatient people and weird smells. Lately though, I've been liking it more and more. The old cobblestones, the graffiti lanes, the awesome shops where you can buy so many things I'll never get at home (really pretty blank page notebooks anyone?). It's all begun to seem rather appealing lately. I'm not sure I could ever actually live in the city, and absolutely NEVER in the suburbs (all the identical houses and no town centers freak me out), but I like spending more time there. Especially in the book shops. I can spend days in a good bookshop. Listening to: Ready or Not by Bridget Mendler.
