The Musee d'Orsay was one of the things I definitely had to see whilst in Paris. Mostly because when my mother visited the year before she missed out. I didn't make it there though till our very last day in the city, right at twilight, so we didn't have very long to explore the galleries. What I did see though was incredibly beautiful, my favourites being the Van Goghs and the Monets. Next time I visit I'll be sure to spend more time in the gallery, which was built inside an old train station. The building itself is magnificent, the first hall full of sculptures especially. My absolute favourite part of the building was this magnificent clock window that looked out over the Seine. I felt a little bit like Hugo Cabret, hiding behind a clock face looking out over Paris.
