It's a sad, but true fact: Venice is sinking. There are talks of various measures being put in place to preserve the wondrous city, including limiting the number of tourists allowed. Millions visit this place every year, and I think they should, it's fabulous. I would more than likely be one of the many excluded from visiting a place like this, which may well become only accessible to those who have excessive amounts of money. That is not very fair, in my opinion. I love this city, it remains a favourite among the whole world for it's spectacle, colour, architecture, history and proximity to Giulia and her family (:P). I loved getting to wander around, following my guide Giulia. I did more than a bit of shopping there too (Murano glass cat figurines anyone?). Also, food. There is an insane amount of yummy food in Venice.
