Visiting the museum of the amazing Hayao Miyazaki. On my very last full day in Japan, I was back in Tokyo awaiting my flight the next day. This happened to be the only day available to go and see the famed Ghibli Museum. You need to reserve a special ticket in order to get in, as the museum is so popular and only admits a certain amount of people at a time. There are no photographs allowed in the museum unfortunately, for I so dearly wished I could capture Hayao Miyazaki's study. It is exactly what I want my future study to look like. Books stacked high against the walls, paintings and photographs covering every inch of spare space. A desk covered in drawings and sketches and notes. It was heaven. The building itself is pretty impressive, it certainly embodies the artist's creative spirit. I spent most of the day wandering around the museum before heading back to Shinjuku for my last night in Japan.
