"The entrance hall was so big you could have fitted the whole of the Dursley's house in it. The stone walls were lit with flaming torches like the ones at Gringotts, the ceiling was too high to make out, and a magnificent marble staircase facing them led to the upper floors... 'Welcome to Hogwarts,' said Professor McGonagall." - 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' by J.K. Rowling. I could gush on and on about how fantastic the Harry Potter studio tour is, but instead I think I'll let the photographs do the talking (speaking of, how fantastic is being able to take photographs inside a place?). There's quite a few, so I've split them up. So be warned, if you are going and do not wish to be spoiled in any way possible, try your best to tear your eyes away. It's difficult, I know. However, I don't really think that any of my photos truly spoil the experience, everything you see there you have seen in a film anyway. My stories will spoil though, which is why I'll savour them for myself. One thing I will say is this: Hogwarts at Christmas is a truly magical experience.
These photographs are mainly from the Great Hall and the beginning of the tour, later on I'll be sharing some of my favourite details from the tour. This place was such a dream to shoot with the 50mm f/1.4. Absolutely everything was gorgeous close up!
